Finished "Haute Poule"  last night, I just wasn't happy with just the block....somehow it needed more, especially if it was to stand on it's own as a wall hanging......so I dug through my stash and came up with a couple of fabrics to fashion a nest out of and then created a few eggs, perhaps a few too many but she's a pretty big hen.  The nest is down with raw edge fusing and then I went over the edges several times blending the colors a bit more.
The eggs were a bit stiff with two layers of fused fabrics and so I used trapunto fill them out and give them a bit of dimension.
Now to finish the label and I will  store her until our group's Christmas party.  It will be here before we know it.
