March 10, 2010

Had a wonderful day today...went shopping at a new Quilt Shop: "Fireside Quilt Shop and Gifts" on Park and 13th Street in Sanford. Liz and Helen went with me and we certainly enjoyed this cozy little shop and all the lovely quilting cottons she had there. Afterward we had a delicious lunch at a little tea room next door. I am home now and washing all the recently collected fabrics and soon will be spending the evening ironing and folding them all for storage until I am ready for my next project which will be a new quilt for our bed. A big job and so I will have to really catch up on a few other things before beginning it. You know how it is....once into a new project you really don't want to stop until it is completed. Well, with as little interruption as possible. I figure it will probably take at least a month to piece the log cabin blocks and even before I begin the quilt itself I want to make the dust ruffle for the bed. It will be a big project but I am looking forward to the results.
